Women in Recovery from Addiction Program (WRAP)
This program is a gender-specific, trauma-informed group program for women in recovery from addiction. It is based on evidence-based clinical practice, and takes a holistic approach to supporting women on their unique journeys. In the context of group therapy, diverse women come to find that they are not alone in their experiences. They see each other finding their way. They offer and receive support. The program involves several approaches to healing to reach women on all levels, mind-body-spirit-emotions. Modalities used include expressive arts therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, family systems work, community reinforcement approach, and adult learning practices.
This program is by referral only via an Addiction Services staff, no self referrals. If you are interested in more information, please phone central intake at 563-2583.
