Adult Counselling

Community Based Services offers gender specific individual and group programming to adults harmfully involved with alcohol, drugs and/or gambling. This program also offers services to those who may be affected by another person’s substance use or gambling.

Services are offered throughout Cape Breton by a team of Clinical Therapists, Community Outreach Workers and Community Health Workers. Theses services include:

-comprehensive assessment

-treatment and consultation

-individual, couples and family therapy

-psychosocial educational groups

-treatment groups

-consultation with community agencies 

Theses services are available in Glace Bay, New Waterford, Sydney, North Sydney, Baddeck, Inverness, Cheticamp and Neil’s Harbor. Group sessions are offered through out the year.
